I spent this first week of food observation recording in pictures, observing patterns and how my food made me feel. I leave this week wanting to explore cooking for and with others, learning more about plants, and curious to learn more about where the food I eat comes from.
My windowsill basil amazed me when I came to it thriving after some time with water I gave it in the morning. I also remembered there’s an herb garden at ITP I should explore more.

Joined my first celebration of Onam in the park with new friends, the most beautiful and meaningful meal I’ve had in a while.

Also a delicious mango smoothie with jelly during an outside sunset meeting for worship on the river.

This week at home I craved berries and stone fruit, used my air fryer a ton, bought even more honey (wildflower and garlic), and used the windowsill basil I’m desperately trying to keep alive.
