Idea
Big idea: New Years Sustainable DIY Party Kit and Cookbook
- Create a basket like party kit and booklet to throw during the holidays
- Encourage others to make and create together, share supplies and materials, spend less money and make gifts and find people when they are thinking about the new year
- I as the kit creator get to share what I’ve learned and my personal recipes based on the research
- A party alternative to consumption that is creative and guests leave with new ideas, supplies and maybe even swap free things to build their collection
- Prototype
- A party kit made from recipes in the cookbook
- Including paper, plastic, containers, found objects
- A booklet with instructions for how to throw the party and the recipes
Goals
- Survey current status and latest research of biomaterials in 2024
- Create my own recipes for things I find myself having to buy again and again or food that easy to cook and affordable
- Combine my interests in sustainability, biology, and art
- Create recipes that are aesthetically my style or my taste as alternates to what’s available and accessible to get others interested in sustainable materials growing their own food
